Safety is Paramount

Safety and security of the children within Woolton Village Day Nursery is paramount on our list of priorities. The nursery conforms to and exceeds, the legal requirements set out in the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. Staff and visitors are required to sign themselves in on arrival and out when departing the premises whilst children are signed in on their individual room registers. This allows us to be aware of who is in the building at all times throughout the day. A password system is used by parents upon their child being picked up by somebody other than themselves. The nursery has CCTV located on the main entrance, whilst staff will challenge any unfamiliar faces not allowing them past the main office area. All staff is subject to an enhanced Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) disclosure being carried out.
