The children who attend our Liverpool Day Nursery are provided with three meals a day which are freshly prepared for by our on-site Cook Cathy, who holds a Level 2 qualification in food catering and safety.  All meals comply with all dietary and religious requirements, whilst a two week menu is followed, this is changed seasonally.

With breakfast being the most important meal of the day we provide a variety of options including:

  • Cereal and fresh milk
  • a selection of toast and fruit juice
  • Crumpets and milk
  • Fruit loaf and milk
  • Fresh fruit salad and natural yoghurt

By lunchtime we have worked up quite an appetite, to help us refuel for the afternoon we enjoy meals like:

  • Chicken curry and boiled rice
  • Mexican tuna pasta bake
  • Leek and potato soup with crusty bread
  • Cottage pie served with mixed vegetables
  • Fish pasta in creamy mushroom sauce
  • Chicken stir fry

The children also enjoy making yummy puddings including this:

  • Carrot cake
  • banana bread
  • chocolate chip muffin
