The nursery is closed at All bank holidays and for a one week period between Christmas and New Year. Fees are however payable for 52 weeks of the year.

We request that a minimum of 2 days per week is required in attendance for your child/ children. This enables the child to fit into a more structured routine and helps with the settling in process. This time can also be split up into four half days?

Your Child is entitled to a maximum of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year. To be included in the headcount allocation your child needs to be registered with an approved provider of early education on headcount day which falls within the first three weeks of term.
The Nursery has CCTV fitted at the front entrance to the building as this is our only available access. Any unfamiliar faces will be challenged and parent/ carers are asked to provide a password upon enrolment of their child in the event of somebody else collecting them. A rigorous recruitment and selection policy is followed upon the employment of new staff whilst all staff is subject to an enhanced DBS. Mobile phones are not to be used in or around the rooms of children, whilst we also have a written register of all staff, children and visitors to be aware of who is on the premises at all times.
Parents do not need to apply for the funding. Each term the nursery provider claims on behalf of the parents for the number of sessions their child will be attending and the Local Authority will then pay the funding directly to the provider.
The funding is not paid directly to parents. Your fees will be reduced to reflect the number of free hours you wish your child to receive.
Only the management team can administer any medication, all medication must be prescribed by a Doctor with your child’s name correctly and clearly stated medication will be refused by the Management team if not prescribed. Any prescribed medicines will result in your child to not attend for the first 24 hours upon receipt of the prescription. If your child does become unwell throughout the day you will be contacted, for children who have a high temperature emergency Calpol will be given, you will be required to sign a consent form upon enrolment of your child to give your permission.
Your child becomes eligible for a free Government Early Years Education Funded place from the start of the school term after their third birthday. This means that most three year olds will be able to start a free nursery place in the September, January or April following their third birthday.

Management have the right to refuse to administer medicine if it is not prescribed by the doctor and clearly labelled with the child’s full name and dosage that is required.
On enrolment of your child you will be asked to sign a consent form asking for permission to administer Calpol or Teething Gel if needed. Calpol will only be administered in the event of a child having a high temperature whilst in the nursery.
Calpol will only be administrated once throughout the day, if Calpol is needed to be administrated more than once throughout the day and over the period of consecutive days it will need to be prescribed via your GP.
The EYFS sets out the standards to enable early year’s providers to reflect the rich personalised experience that many parents give to their child at home.
Like parents we will deliver an individualised learning plan that enhances the development of the children in our care and give the children the best possible start in life.
Staff are selected on their experience, education, personality, interaction, their dedication to the job and attitude towards child development.
Knowledge can also be extended. Training courses are encouraged to staff in order to enhance any existing qualifications.
References and police checks are essential for new starters, and we make sure they are carried out rigorously.
We employ students working towards their qualifications. Working within the nursery helps students to be able to learn and work as well as gaining a qualification.
